Acceptance of Terms Welcome to everydaysenior.ca (the “Site”), owned and operated by Silvertouch Solutions Inc. (“Everyday Senior,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Site, subscribing to our emails, purchasing a book, watching our videos, or downloading and using our mobile applications (including MapleGuard), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site or our applications.
Who We Are and What We Offer Everyday Senior is an informational and educational resource for seniors and the people who care about them. Through the Site and our affiliated applications, we provide:

Educational articles, guides, and blog content;
“Smart Senior Money” videos and posts on general financial topics relevant to seniors;
Books and written publications for purchase, including Your Age Is Calling. Don’t Answer. You’ve Got Better Things to Do.;
Information about Clara, our companion medication reminder service (available separately at clarareminds.com);
MapleGuard, our iOS scam and phishing detection application designed to evaluate suspicious messages; and
An email newsletter with tips, updates, and occasional offers.

Everyday Senior is a content and software platform. We are not a healthcare provider, financial institution, financial advisor, cybersecurity agency, home care agency, or emergency service, and nothing on the Site or within our applications should be understood to make us one.

No Professional Advice The content on this Site and within our applications — including articles, videos, books, message evaluations, and any downloadable materials — is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not intended as, and should not be relied upon as, medical, legal, financial, or cybersecurity advice.

In particular:

Our Smart Senior Money content discusses financial topics in general terms and does not take into account your personal financial situation. Before making any financial, legal, medical, or other significant decision, you should consult a qualified, licensed professional.
MapleGuard automated risk assessments are intended solely to assist in identifying potential indicators of scam, phishing, or fraudulent communications. They do not guarantee 100% detection of all threats, nor do they guarantee that a flagged message is definitively fraudulent. You remain solely responsible for verifying communications before taking action.

Eligibility and Accounts The Site and our applications are intended for adults. If you subscribe to our newsletter, purchase a product, create an account, or otherwise provide information to us, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the right to provide it (for example, if you are signing up or managing a service on behalf of a parent or family member).
Purchases & Subscriptions Books and physical products offered on the Site are sold subject to the price, availability, and delivery terms shown at checkout.

In-App Subscriptions (MapleGuard):

MapleGuard offers an optional auto-renewing subscription ($2.99/month) granting unlimited scam and phishing checks.
Subscriptions are billed directly to your Apple ID account upon purchase confirmation.
Payments, renewals, and cancellations are managed through your iOS device settings. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

In the event of a pricing or listing error, we reserve the right to correct it and, where applicable, to cancel any order or transaction affected by the error.

Clara, MapleGuard, and Linked Services

Clara: References to Clara and links to clarareminds.com direct you to a separate service with its own terms of service and privacy policy. Everyday Senior encourages you to review those terms directly on clarareminds.com before signing up.
MapleGuard: Use of the MapleGuard iOS application is governed by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any applicable Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

Email Communications By subscribing to our newsletter or providing your email address, you consent to receive emails from us, including educational content, updates, and occasional promotional offers. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email or by contacting us directly. We do not sell or rent your email address to third parties.
Intellectual Property All content on the Site and within our applications — including text, code, articles, videos, graphics, logos, book excerpts, and the Everyday Senior, Clara, and MapleGuard names, logos, and marks — is the property of Silvertouch Solutions Inc. or its licensors and is protected by Canadian and international copyright and trademark law. You may view, download, and share content from the Site for personal, non-commercial use, provided you do not modify it and you credit Everyday Senior as the source. Any other use, including republishing, reselling, reverse engineering, or commercial use of our content or software, requires our prior written permission.
User Conduct When using the Site or our applications, you agree not to:

Use the Site or applications for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its backend servers, or related systems;
Copy, scrape, or reproduce Site content or application software at scale without our permission; or
Post or transmit any harmful, misleading, or infringing content through any interactive feature or text submission field.

Third-Party Links and Embedded Content The Site may contain links to third-party websites or embedded content (such as YouTube videos) that we do not own or control, including services referenced in our articles or videos. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site, and including a link does not imply our endorsement of it.
Disclaimer of Warranties The Site, our applications (including MapleGuard), and all content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site or applications will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or completely effective at stopping all digital fraud or phishing attempts.
Limitation of Liability To the fullest extent permitted by law, Silvertouch Solutions Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of money, data, or personal property, arising from:

Your access to or use of — or inability to access or use — the Site, applications, or content; or
Any financial loss, identity theft, or scam incident resulting from communications analyzed or evaluated by MapleGuard.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Ontario or Canadian law.

Indemnification You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Silvertouch Solutions Inc. from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Site or applications, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
Changes to These Terms We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Site, our applications, or our practices. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site or our applications after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
